Smart Grid for Electricity & Water

Amongst the most prolific users of geospatial technology is the water and electricity agencies. The Water and Electricity agencies across the Middle East are using geospatial technology extensively in their procedures to improve their functioning and provide better and more efficient services. The Middle East countries are increasingly looking towards implementing smart grid for electricity and water. GIS, mapping, among other technologies, constitute the very foundation of smart grid implementation. With the kind of enthusiasm being witnessed and investments planned on smart grid, the geospatial industry is likely to witness tremendous growth in the electricity and water sector. The programme will witness speakers from various water and electricity organisations from across the region talk about their projects and the applicability of geospatial technology in the same.
