Construction & Infrastructure
The Middle East has always been characterised by world class infrastructure that has been instrumental in bringing the region on to the world map. Infrastructure continues to be one of the fastest growing sectors in the Middle East and also holds a lot of promise for the geospatial industry in the region. Leading infrastructure organisations have ambitious plans in store that can take the Middle East to even greater heights. It is now universally accepted that geospatial technology plays a crucial role in various types of infrastructure development. Most of the decisions that go into proper infrastructure planning and development at various levels revolve around geographic and spatial analysis. The first step for any agency involved in the process of infrastructure development is to determine the most suitable site and most suitable way for setting up the infrastructure. GIS can help answer these questions after taking various aspects into consideration.

The session on Construction & Infrastructure is an attempt to highlight the vital role of geospatial technology for various infrastructure verticals like roads, railways, aviation, real estate etc.
